Background and Objective The Lutheran blood system consists of 18 antigens, named LU1 LU20, of which 2 are inactive and 13 are high frequency antigens. Materials and Methods Serological tests were performed using conventional methods. Monoclonal Antibody Specific Solid Phase Analysis of Erythrocyte Antigen (MAIEA) with Lutheran Glycoprotein Mab. All LU gene exons were directly amplified by PCR for direct genomic DNA sequencing. result
