都市报自从上个世纪90年代中期诞生以来,经过十多年的高歌猛进,目前广告额占报纸广告总额的七成以上,逐步完成了从市民生活报迈向主流媒体进而开始打造多媒体平台的整合期;报纸品牌也完成了从创造品牌到形成品牌再到张扬品牌和巩固品牌的阶段。目前,都市报成为党的新闻事业的一支重要力量,是引导社会舆论的重要阵地,而且大多数都市报为党报集团提供了重要经济支撑。
