用生物基因工程技术重组的可溶性CD_4受体蛋白可与艾滋病(AIDS)病毒粒子结合。实验表明,此种受体蛋白能通过几种方式协助控制AIDS。将此蛋白注入患者体内,它可以与AIDS病毒颗粒结合,使病毒不能感染健康细胞。此蛋白也可以阻止AIDS细胞与其他细胞接触,细胞之间的接触是病毒传播的一种方式。此外,此受体蛋白可以与抗病毒剂结合,使药物集中攻击病毒。此受体蛋白也叫作可溶性T-4受体蛋白,一般在T-4细胞表面,是人体免疫系统的主要成份。AIDS病毒
Soluble CD4 receptor proteins that have been recombined using biogenic genetic engineering can bind to AIDS virus particles. Experiments show that this receptor protein can help control AIDS in several ways. This protein is injected into the body of a patient and binds to the AIDS virus particles so that the virus can not infect healthy cells. This protein also blocks the contact of AIDS cells with other cells, and contact between cells is a way of transmitting the virus. In addition, this receptor protein can be combined with antivirals to allow the drug to target the virus.
