孙福根同志在这篇文章中提出一个很值得思考的问题:在制造卡尺的时候,还要不要继续保留任意刻线间的和相邻刻线间的公差要求?如果它们并不影响测量精度而可予以取消的话,那末将大大地促进卡尺的生产。就我们所知,在这个问题上存在着两种不同的意见。鉴于过去对游标卡尺测量误差的理论分析工作做得不多,有必要就这个问题展开讨论。本刊在本期刊登孙福根同志的这篇文章的同时,也刊登陈践同志的看法,目的是想借此引起有关部门对此问题的重视,并希望有更多的同志参加这一讨论,使问题得到妥善的解决。
