In 2013, the total import and export of the Special Customs Surveillance Area nationwide totaled 697.27 billion U.S. dollars, up 14.9% over the same period of last year; among them, the export was 347.84 billion U.S. dollars, up 17.7% over the same period of last year; the import was 34.943 billion U.S. dollars, up 12.2% over the same period of last year. Import and Export of Free Trade Zones in the PRC In 2013, the total import and export volume of the bonded areas in the country totaled 3170.2 billion U.S. dollars, up 25% over the same period of last year. Among them, the export was 1251.6 U.S. dollars, up 43% over the same period of last year; the import was 191.86 billion U.S. dollars, up 15.4%. II.
