In this paper, an intelligent system for detecting and analyzing relay protection devices in substations is designed and implemented. The knowledge representation, database, analysis and reasoning mechanism of nuclear system, as well as good explanation mechanism and man-machine interface are introduced in detail. The system has completed testing of all substation protection devices, the practice shows that the system to achieve a high degree of intelligence and automation, effective, high reliability
