发动机在低温条件下,起动困难,气缸磨蚀严重,燃料消耗增大,电瓶寿命缩短。除这四大危害之外,还有曲轴轴颈和轴瓦的磨损增加,润滑油变质,起动机损坏等等。为了改善发动机低温起动性能,一般对发动机采取预热、保温、使用低温用燃润料和改善混合气的形成条件等方法。其中对发动机采取预热的方法,对改善发动机的低温起动性能影响最大。预热方法很多,各种预热方法悬殊很大,本文介绍的热空气预热起动是预热形式之一。
