频次效应理论(Ellis,2002,2012)强调语言习得的关键是在语言表征之间建立形式和功能的匹配与联系,频次在很大程度上可以帮助学习者提取语言规律性从而习得语言。因此,重复率和接触量是学好语言的重要条件。同时个性化教学是二十世纪下半叶以来外语教学的重要理念,个性化意味着给不同的学习者提供不同的教学指导。Language Learning的2012年特刊将个体差异作为研讨重点,从理论和实践的角度探讨了研究个体差异的重要性。本文旨在讨论个体差异对英语写作教学中频次效应的影响,为二语写作教学如何充分考虑个性差异,实现个性化英语写作教学提供参考意见。
The theory of frequency effects (Ellis, 2002, 2012) emphasizes that the key to language acquisition is to establish the matching and connection of forms and functions between language representations, and the frequency can largely help learners to extract the regularity of language to acquire language. Therefore, the repetition rate and contact volume are important conditions to learn a good language. At the same time, personalized teaching is an important concept of foreign language teaching since the second half of the 20th century. Personalization means providing different learners with different teaching instructions. The 2012 Special Issue of Language Learning takes individual differences as the focus of discussion and explores the importance of studying individual differences from a theoretical and practical point of view. The purpose of this article is to discuss the effect of individual differences on frequency effects in EFL writing and to provide reference for how to fully consider individual differences in EFL teaching and to achieve personalized English writing teaching.
