走进福州市黄开振老先生自行设计布置、近百平方米的绿色立体庭院,即被两旁一排排错落有致的700多盆盆景所吸引。它们千姿百态,生机盎然,其中有不少名贵品种,身处其中,倍感春意无限。黄老已年近八十,他是福建省花协盆景分会的会长。受祖父的影响,黄老与花草为伍有数十载,70年代还曾在园林部门工作过,得到名家指点。他既继承传统,吸取岭南派、海派、苏派、扬派、川派的长处,以及日本、台湾等地盆艺的精华,同时融入现代表现手法,作品贴近生活,具有自己独特的风格。他善于因地制宜,因材施艺,从福建的自然特点出发,选取榕树、铁树、雀梅、榆树、福建茶等树材制作树木盆景,选取海浮石、台湾吴定石等吸水石制作山石盆景,突出了地域特色。他善于根据不同材质的特性和优势进行艺术造型,如利用榕树块根美观,气根飘垂,四季常青及水、旱附石皆宜的特点,创作出悬吊式盆景;他还创作了澳洲杉及多种植物的壁挂式盆景。
