Thirteen male youths were observed for changes in pulmonary blood flow patterns at 72 h after 4000 m and 5000 m simulations. It was found that the tension index (Q-aI) gradually extended. The amplitude of the main wave, the filling rate and the maximum rate of increase of the main wave gradually decrease. Q-a / RVET increased from 0.3194 ± 0.010 to 0.406 ± 0.016 at 5 000 m (P <0.05). The above results suggest that acute hypoxia can lead to pulmonary vasoconstriction and elevated pulmonary pressure in patients with acute hypoxia, which may lead to cardiac dysfunction when it continues to rise to 5000m.
