乌江镇位于江西省吉水县中东部,辖12个行政村,4 987个农户,农业人口20 360,耕地面积为40 090亩,以丘陵山地为主,绝大部分种植双季稻,早稻和晚稻播种面积分别为38 320亩、38 580亩,占农作物总播种面积的95%以上。根据农业部统一部署,乌江镇被江西省列为2011年水稻高产创建整乡整建制推进试点的20个乡(镇、场)之一,力争经过3～5年努力,实现双季稻亩产1 100 kg(其中早稻500 kg,晚稻600 kg)、较上年增产5%以上的高产创
