Akia USA will continue its PC development in 1998. The company will launch a large number of new smaller desktop systems and sign a license to acquire the ultra-thin Pedion notebook PC from Mitsubishi Electronics America. Akia officials said the company will sign a contract with Mitsubishi this quarter. Mitsubishi’s Pedion is 0.7 inches thick and weighs about 3 pounds.
