纵观全球,凡是有所成就的科学家,皆拥有丰富的想像力。所谓想像力,实质上就是经常设想未来,为想像中的问题给出一种从未有的答案。如通信是人类生活中必不可少的,人与人要交流、互传信息,打手势、写信都是通信手段。但设想利用人造卫星来传递信息的人,则必然拥有超常人的想像力。1960年8月12日,美航天局和贝尔实验室共同向天空发射一颗直径30米、涂铝聚酯薄膜气球型卫星,从而开创了卫星通信工业的新纪元。实现用气球作为通信工具,还得归功于贝尔实验室工程师皮尔斯,归功于想像力丰富的皮尔斯!
Throughout the world, scientists who have made achievements have rich imagination. The so-called imagination, in essence, often envisages the future, giving an imaginary answer to an imaginary problem. If communication is indispensable in human life, people and people must communicate and exchange information, and gesturing and writing are all means of communication. But imagine that people who use artificial satellites to convey information must have the imagination of an extraordinary person.
