山稻又名山谷,是陆稻的一种。在衢县已有五十多年的种植历史。解放后,由于党和政府重視山区生产,山稻有了很大的发展。山稻增产潛力很大,在同等面积山地上,山稻常年产量要比山玉米增加60—120％。如仙洞公社郎山生产队的水澗湾一块山地,1964年种山玉米只收500多斤,1965年改种山稻收干谷910斤,增产82％。
