今年是我国明代大戏剧家汤显祖逝世三百六十六周年。中央文化部,中国剧协、江西省文化局和剧协江西分会联合举办了纪念会。纪念活动是从十月二十二日到三十日先后在江西抚州和南昌进行的。二十二日下午,来自北京和其他许多省、市的专家、教授、戏剧工作者、电影工作者以及新闻出版部门的编辑、记者和江西本省的代表共一千五百余人,云集汤显祖的家乡临川(即今抚州),在汤氏故居“玉茗堂”遗址上新落成的玉茗堂影剧院举行了隆重的纪念大会。汤氏故里汤家村和他曾任过县令的遂昌县也都派代表参加了大会。大会上.中共江西省委副书记狄生、中央文化部艺术局副局长俞琳、中国剧协书记
This year marks the 366th anniversary of the death of Tang Xianzu, a great dramatist in the Ming Dynasty in China. The Central Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Opera Association, Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture and Jiangxi Opera Association jointly organized a commemorative meeting. The commemoration was carried out in Fuzhou and Nanchang, Jiangxi from October 22 to 30.
