Event Replay In the night of December 19, 2016 and early morning of December 20, severe smog caused a large-scale delay in the flight of Beijing Capital International Airport and long queues of passengers who canceled their tickets. During the New Year’s Day 2017, another serious haze occurred in northern China, resulting in delays or cancellations of flights. As a result, many passengers were forced to leave New Year at the airport. As of the afternoon of January 1, media statistics showed that there were 126 sorties canceled at Hong Kong Capital Airport and 309 sorties passed in and out of Hong Kong by Tianjin Airport. As a result of the weather, the impact on the normal punctuality rate reached 29.53%. In the extreme weather, passengers can not claim compensation from the airlines because of the hazy smuggling of flight delays. I will analyze this issue in the hope of benefiting the readers.
