翻译是人类的一种目的性实践活动。译者往往从所处历史情境出发对社会规范进行价值判断,并在此基础上对其拟采取的实践行动进行预期判断。正是这种预期性的价值判断推动译者创造出蕴涵差异性的新价值,并直接决定了译者翻译活动的价值水平。译者通过价值客体创造等方式参与社会共同体的价值对话、协商过程,积极介入并影响社会价值共识的达成,从而推动社会规范的变革。
Translation is a kind of purposeful practice of mankind. The translator often makes judgments on the values of social norms based on the historical situations in which he lives and on the basis of which, he anticipates judgments on the practical actions to be taken. It is this predictive value judgment that drives the translator to create new value that implicates differences and directly determines the value of the translator’s translation activity. The translator participates in the value dialogue and consultation process of social community through value object creation and other means, actively intervenes and affects the consensus of social values to promote the transformation of social norms.
