黄埔军校开办之初,即成立了以军校学生为主体的血花剧社演出组织。其以岭南艺术的新话剧形式,突显了军校政治建军的特色,并广泛参与到岭南社会的风尚改造中。以血花剧社为代表的新戏剧运动,在社会庆典、募捐、公益活动和群众运动中,发挥了很大的社会动员功能。
