初见周敏便被她爽朗的笑声吸引,或许是幼年便与音乐相伴,性格活泼的周敏连笑声都流淌着音乐的律动。周敏出生于音乐世家,爷爷曾经是北京师范大学的钢琴教授,在爷爷的影响下,父亲从小学习音乐,有着很高的艺术造诣,母亲曾在西安音乐学院学习声乐,音乐使父母走在一起,并且成为连接家庭的情感纽带。周敏4岁开始学琴,在漫长的学琴道路上,周敏挥之不去的记忆是父亲每周日背着熟睡的她,拿着她喜欢的玩具．坐火车到西安学习。10年岁月,风雨无阻。采访中,周敏饱含深情地告诉记者,如果没有父亲的坚持,也许就不会有现在的周敏。父亲用实际行动陪伴着周敏坚强地跋涉在音乐之路上,并教会了周敏什么叫“坚持”。
