麻黄既是我区重要的一种抗旱性很强的野生植物资源,又是药用植物,其主要成分为麻黄素,是不可分替的制药工业原料。麻黄茎、叶性温、味辛微苦,无毒。功能为发汗、润肺平喘、利尿。可治受寒感冒发烧,无汗咳嗽及水肿等症。其中所含的麻黄碱,能使支气管舒张,血管收缩,有升压的作用。所含的挥发油和甲基麻黄碱为发汗的主要成份。麻黄根性平,味甘可止汗及倒汗。
