下扬子区,在武汉至上海长约一千公里的狭长地带内,近年来通过笔者的研究,除已知的斑岩型、矽卡岩型矿床外,还揭示出一种具区域性分布规律的并可供工业利用的与中性、中偏基性侵入体有关的产于岩体边缘蚀变带及其边缘岩枝浅部蚀变带内的细脉浸染型铜矿。矿体呈透镜状,金属矿物简单,主要有黄铁矿,黄铜矿。该类型矿床在侵入体特征和类型、蚀变性质、矿化类型及赋存部位等方面,均与斑岩型铜矿床有明显的差异,难以等同。有可能确立为一种新的铜矿床类型,我们暂称之为“类斑岩型”铜矿
