Surface sediment samples collected by Chagvan Bay, Alaska, USA were divided into two groups based on their Pt content: background group (Pt <0.01 ppm) and abnormal group (Pt> 0.01 ppm). All samples were also subjected to particle size distribution and various heavy metals
