[AP, Atlanta, GA, April 15, 1981] The discovery of a potent natural compound says that compounds of this lifetime, measured in seconds, are likely to revolutionize the treatment of cardiovascular disease effect. This compound is “prostacyclin,” which does not coagulate blood flow when it flows in intact arteries and veins. After the compound was discovered by the British scientist John R Vane and colleagues in 1976, prostacyclin has been the object of intensified research in the world to control its effects as a medical device.
