The translucent and Vergae cavities, also called the fifth and sixth ventricles of the brain, are the junction of the fluid between the third ventricle and the corpus callosum. Only seen in preterm infants and other new births just delivered, but disappeared after birth. Occasionally, CT scan or autopsy of a child after birth can be found in the presence of persistent two-chamber, but no clinical significance. In only a few cases of these two capsule can be expanded, such as the close to the room hole, then there is the risk of hydrocephalus.
