刘玉林同志原是黑龙江省克东县农业工作办公室干部。他因病致残,1986年提前退休后。每年订阅多种报刊,《中华魂》杂志成为他最喜欢阅读的刊物之一。他常年坚持每天学习5小时以上。1992年7月,他用手摇三轮车走路,靠两根拄棍登楼梯,坚持上老年党校和老干部理论学习组学习,年年保持学习、精勤双模范。为了搞好自身和子孙后代的思想教育,他创建了家庭学习室,现有报刊30种,各类书籍1000余册,使其成为培育家庭美德、搞好家庭精神文明建设的基地。他通过刻苦学习,写出各类专题讲稿多篇,为城乡一些单位作优良传统报告、讲党课、学习辅导近30次,传播优良传统,培育“四有”新人,听众达2万多人次。克东县委、县政府授予他“关心下一代先进个人”、“自强模范”、“优秀共产党员”称号。他的家庭被评为“五好文明家庭”。
Comrade Liu Yulin was originally a cadre at the office of agricultural work in Kendong County, Heilongjiang Province. He was disabled due to illness and after his early retirement in 1986. Through hard study, he wrote many kinds of special lectures and made excellent traditional reports for some units in urban and rural areas. He talked about party classes and counseling for nearly 30 times, spread fine traditions, fostered “Four Haves ” newcomers and listeners reached more than 20,000 Person times. The East County Party Committee and the county government awarded him the title of “Concerned about the Next Generation of Advanced Individuals,” “Self-Strengthening Model,” and “Outstanding Communist Party Member.” His family was named “Five Good Civilizations Family.”
