海南早造生育期与特籼占25相当,比培杂77长3d,比Ⅱ优128短3d,海南晚造比Ⅱ优128短7d;湖北作一季中稻全生育期比Ⅱ优725短9.5d;四川绵阳一季中稻比汕优63短2d;湖南、江西作双晚全生育期比汕优46短2～3d。株高105～115cm,穗长22.5cm左右,有效穗300万/hm~2左右,每穗总粒170粒左右,结实率82%左右,千粒重24g左右,分蘖力强,有效穗多、叶上穗,株型适中、成熟后期熟色好。2004年参加海南省早造优质香稻组区域试验初试,平均产量8772kg/hm~2,名列第2位,比特籼占25(对照)
