延安市老区建设促进会成立已经十年。这个特殊社会团体,为延安的经济社会发展做出了应有的贡献,得到了领导的肯定和群众的称赞。延河在宝塔区李渠镇高峁湾拐了个大湾。湾道河水不停地冲刷着国道的路基,浸蚀着肥沃的良田。人们期盼着将河道改直,不再拐这个湾,让延河直接沿着山根底下流过去。早在上世纪70年代,原延安县就曾经着手改造河道,并组织队伍搞了一段工程。但终因工程艰难而半路停工。市老促会成立后,时任副会长的原行署副专员薛志勇把这个问题提到老促会会议上。
