The founding meeting of Academic Committee of Institute of Forestry and Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Shenyang from October 11 to October 14. More than 260 Soviet delegations and people from all walks of life attended the conference, including scientists from the country's forestry, soil and microorganisms, and the deputy director of Far Eastern Branch of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
