2012秋拍,香港苏富比推出抽象艺术单元,向中国抽象表现艺术先驱吴大羽致敬,而此次拍卖会上,吴大羽晚期罕见的大尺幅典型创作《粉墨春秋》,以逾900万港币成交,大幅超越350万至500万港币的估价,并刷新画家个人拍卖纪录。吴大羽成了艺术市场不断下滑的恶劣环境下,屈指可数的作品呈逆扬趋势的艺术家。似乎又到了该说说这位“中国现代抽象绘画的拓荒者”和“中国早期抽象画的一代宗师”的时候了。
2012 Autumn Auction, Hong Kong Sotheby’s introduced the abstract art unit, which pays tribute to Wu Dayu, a forerunner of Chinese abstract performance art. At the auction, Wu Da Yu, a rare large-format large-scale creation “Pink Spring”, used more than 9 million Hong Kong dollar transactions, substantially more than 3.5 to 5 million Hong Kong dollars valuation, and refresh the artist’s personal auction record. Wu Dayu has become an artist with an upward trend in reverse under the harsh environment in which the art market is declining. It seems time to talk about this “pioneer of modern Chinese abstract painting” and “the great master of early Chinese abstract painting”.
