1955～1968年,吴瑞林先后任人民解放军海南军区司令员、海军南海舰队司令员、广州军区副司令员兼南海舰队司令员等职,1955年被授予中将军衔。1959年,吴瑞林调任海军南海舰队司令员,军衔由陆军中将改为海军中将。他在任职期间,领导组织舰队的各方面建设,并指挥部队多次完成重要军事行动,为保卫南海海疆和领空安全,做出了重要贡献。今年4月21日是吴瑞林将军逝世15周年,谨发表此文以资纪念。
From 1955 to 1968, Wu Ruilin successively served as commander of the Hainan Military Region of People’s Liberation Army, commander of the Navy’s South China Sea Fleet, deputy commander of the Guangzhou Military Region and commander of the South China Sea Fleet, and was awarded the rank of lieutenant general in 1955. In 1959, Wu Ruilin was transferred to the navy South China Sea Fleet commander, rank replaced by lieutenant general Lieutenant General Admiral. During his tenure, he led the construction of all aspects of the organization of the fleet and commanded the army to complete many important military operations. It has made an important contribution to defending the security of the South China Sea and the airspace. On April 21 this year, the 15th anniversary of the death of General Wu Ruilin, I hereby release this article for commemoration.
