2005年是万科20周年,在朋友的劝说和鼓励下,王石写了一本自传性质的书,回顾和总结了他这20多年的创业历史。他当时觉得万科在之后应该没有什么故事了,因为公司比较正规了,一步一步地往前走就行。所以这本书基本上就是他对自己商业生涯的交待。没有想到在改革开放30周年的时候,2008年会成为万科非常重要的一年,会成为万科历史上的多事之秋。
2005 is the 20th anniversary of Vanke. With the persuasion and encouragement of friends, Wang Shi has written an autobiographical book reviewing and summarizing his 20-year pioneering history. At that time, he felt Vanke should have no story afterwards because the company is more formal and step by step forward. So this book is essentially his account of his business career.
