在中国版图的西南部,有一片神奇大地,其轮廓形似飞鱼,跃于滔滔赤水河之上,纵情于青翠山林之间。这里是绿洲红城——习水。这里从人类于此繁衍生息开始,千百年间,世代交替,终以“习水”之名,呈欣欣向荣之景。先秦时期,名为“僰族”的古老土著就在这依山傍水之处建立起了以河命名的古老国度——鳛国;北宋时期,宋徽宗建滋州于此,领仁怀、承流二县;直至1915年,才正式建立“习水县”。1915年至今,已有百年。百年间,习水的一景一物,皆有传承,且有纳新。百年间,习水传承的是开天辟地以来就惊艳于世的山川秀美之色。
