In recent years, many studies have found that microorganisms have the ability to precipitate calcium carbonate. Because the microbial surface and extracellular secretions are rich in acidic groups, they have the ability to adsorb and enrich cations and provide sites for mineral nucleation [1]. In this experiment, artificial calcium carbonate solution with a concentration of 1 000ppm was used to simulate the natural calcium carbonate environment in a laboratory environment, and the microorganisms were calcified under the artificial control conditions to observe the calcification of the bacteria in the environment. Factors affecting the microbial calcification. It was found that calcification could occur rapidly under the action of bacteria, providing experimental data for further study of carbonate rocks.
