West Germany ZF-Herion Systems Co., Ltd. and Norway’s diving equipment company, in July 1979 to jointly develop a new type of “DAVID” submarine, the first prototype scheduled for the 1982 diving season investment test. The new submarine consists of the following four components: power supply system; control device, operating system; underwater submarine. The power supply system is housed in a 10-foot-diameter, top watertight container powered by a 225KVA diesel generator (440N / 60H_2). The controls are housed in an air-conditioned 10-foot container.
