Postcolonial theory is one of the most talked about and fastest-growing literary and cultural theories at the turn of the century. Edward Said, Jarly C. Spivak and Homi Baba are representative figures in postcolonial theory. Baba argues that immigrants and colonial peoples construct indefinite identities in the “third space” through simulations, mixed and cultural capital accumulation. Vysoh Naipaul is a Hindi-British writer. “Gracency division” is his novel Virgo. Gan Neisha, the protagonist of the novel, survived a bit of identity and completed his identity construction.
