1927年4月初,蔡元培先生参加蒋介石的“清党”运动,列名于国民党中央监察委员“护党救国”通电。但在同月24日,即“四·一二”事变后的第12天,胡愈之同志等即写信请他保释陆汉章。同年8月13日,即“四·一二”事变后的第四个月,他又营救了史良同志等。这些情况,有助于历史学界和政治学界作进一步的研讨。现将已收集到的几段资料,录述于下。(一)请蔡保释陆汉章函1927年4月24日,胡愈之同志等写给蔡元培先生一信,云:孑民先生:绍兴县党部监察员陆汉章君,办事热心,处世尤极谨慎,凡与陆君在第五师范同学及在女子师校同事者,均甚钦佩他之为人。他处事或较性急,
