In this paper, the electrical and optical properties of Sm_2TiO_5 and Sm_2Ti_2O_7 were measured and the molecular orbital of TiO_5 ~ (-6) and TiO_6 ~ (-8) were calculated and the spectra of Sm_2TiO_5 and Sm_2Ti_2O_7 were interpreted. The Sm_2TiO_5 and Sm_2Ti_2O_7 have large Forbidden band width and resistivity, and their transport properties are discussed from the structural symmetry.
