在邓小平有中国特色的社会主义理论指导下,经过全党和全国各族人民的奋斗,我国的综合国力迅速增强。21世纪我国正面临着千载难逢的机遇。世界上许多政治家和经济学家惊叹:21世纪是中国的世纪。 卫生事业是国民经济的重要组成部分。卫生事业的独特地位和不可缺少、不可替代的作用,注定它应与国民经济同步发展。《中共中央、国务院关于卫生改革与发展的决定》肯定了卫生事业是现代化建设的重要目标,是人民生活质量改善的重要标志,是精神文明建设的重要内容,是经济社会持续发展的重要保障。这是近十几年来人们对卫生事业认识上的飞跃,随着党中央和国务院在全国卫生工作会议上对它的肯定,这个新认识必将成为人们的共识。
Under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping’s theory of socialism with Chinese characteristics, through the struggle of the entire party and the people of all ethnic groups throughout the country, China’s overall national strength has rapidly increased. In the 21st century, China is facing a golden opportunity. Many politicians and economists in the world have exclaimed: The 21st century is the century of China. Health undertakings are an important part of the national economy. The unique status, indispensable and irreplaceable role of the health industry is destined to develop simultaneously with the national economy. The “Decision of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Health Reform and Development” affirms that the health undertaking is an important goal of modernization, an important symbol of the improvement of the people’s quality of life, an important content of spiritual civilization construction, and an important guarantee for the sustained development of the economy and society. This is a leap in people’s awareness of health undertakings in the past decade or more. With the Party Central Committee and the State Council affirming it at the National Health Work Conference, this new understanding will surely become the consensus of the people.
