先前的研究已证明,对饲喂高胆固醇饲料的大鼠经口给予罗布麻提取物可降低血中胆固醇并改善动脉硬化指数及抑制氧化LDL生成。由此推测罗布麻可能抑制由氧化LDL参与的动脉粥样硬化进程。本次就罗布麻提取物对氧化LDL对内皮细胞的毒性及由巨噬细胞形成泡沫细胞两方面的影响进行了研究。
Previous studies have demonstrated that oral administration of Apocynum venetum extract to rats fed a high cholesterol diet can lower blood cholesterol and improve atherosclerosis index and inhibit oxidized LDL production. This suggests that Apocynum may inhibit the progression of atherosclerosis involving oxidized LDL. This time, the effects of extracts of Apocynum on the toxicity of oxidized LDL to endothelial cells and the formation of foam cells by macrophages were studied.
