范继森先生是我的恩师。1948年我考取上海国立音专钢琴系后,就开始跟范先生学,一直到1954年上海音乐学院毕业,从未间断过。那时学校校址在江湾,学生们都住校,范先生虽家在上海市区,但学校有他的宿舍,因此基本上和同学们生活在一起。
Mr. Fan Jisen is my mentor. After I got the Shanghai Piano Department in 1948, I started to study with Mr. Fan until I graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music in 1954 and never stopped. At that time, the school site was located in Jiangwan and all the students stayed in school. Although Mr. Fan is in Shanghai’s downtown area, his school has his own dormitory, so he basically lives with his classmates.
