This article describes a simple attitude sensing system designed primarily for geodesy rocket but also useful for attitude stabilization of all types of spacecraft. The system uses a no-load radio direction finder or interferometer to steer the gauge compartment in the direction of incident wave propagation from UHF transmitter beacons at various points of interest in geodetic exploration.
