近几年,我所承担了全国北方地区甘薯新品种区域试验,共10多个品种,均为各省通过鉴定的新品种.现将在我省表现较好的几个品种介绍如下.辽薯73 辽宁省农科院作物育种所培育.该品种顶叶绿色、叶绿色,叶形心齿或浅裂复缺刻,叶脉紫色,柄绿中带紫.蔓绿色,粗约0.7厘米,最长蔓约100厘米.基部分枝7个左右.薯皮红色,薯肉浅黄色,薯块下膨纺锤形,有浅条沟.薯块萌芽性好,幼苗生长较快,株型半直立,长势中等.结薯早而集中,结薯部位浅.较抗旱、耐寒,抗根腐病.薯块干率约33%,淀粉含量约20%.熟食甜面,味美.在区域试验中,鲜薯和干薯亩产为1600和550公斤,分别比徐薯18增产10.2%和32.5%.
