张惠臣是刘炳森书画大师弟子;中国北京书画院院长;刘炳森书画艺术研究中心主任;中国名家书画研究院研究员;中国书法家协会会员;中国民主建国会北京市委会会员。张惠臣幼对书法艺术痴迷眷恋,先学颜、柳,后习二王,数十年临池不辍,奋力攀登。其小字颇见功底,行楷精细兼备,行草秀美飘逸、鼓之枯劲;大字造境新奇,端装浑厚,风神撒落,笔笔到位。张惠臣对隶书、篆书、象形字、变体字,也很有研究,玄鉴旧章,博众家之精华,揉自家之底蕴,其作品,适时前规,取会佳境。著名书法大师欧阳中石教授看了张惠臣的字,感慨的说“后继有人呐!”张惠臣的书法为众多国内国际收藏家收藏。近年来,慕名而来向张惠臣求字的收藏家络绎不绝,四十几年的书法艺术誉满神州海外。
