Around the Victoria Morsa Dome in the gold field in the eastern part of Western Australia, there are a large number of volcanically-associated nickel deposits in the Archean Kamati stream. These deposits are typically small and abundant ore bodies of disseminated and massive sulphides that occur at or near the bottom of altered ultramafic rocks. This type of ore body is confined to the bending or concomitant formation of the underlying basalt contact zone, and the rocks are subjected to amphibolite facies to thermo-dynamic metamorphism. The ultramafic rocks are composed of a number of thick layers (25-30 meters) up the transition to the lower magnesium content of the upper part of the thin rock flow
