Objective To investigate the changes of copper (Cu) and the activities of Cu / Zn-SOD, CCO and the multiple organ failure (MOF) ) And the relationship between death. Methods According to the international standard of quantitative evaluation of degree of trauma (ISS), a model of severe wound in rabbits induced by MOF was established. The contents of Cu and Cu / Zn-SOD and CCO in serum and tissues at different time points were detected. Fat MOF and the relationship between death. Results ① The content of Cu in severely injured rabbits (including dead rabbits) decreased significantly at 12h after injury and gradually recovered after 36h. The content of Cu in brain, heart and lung decreased after injury, and the content of Cu in liver increased significantly at 12h after injury Rise, down after 36h. The content of Cu in the brain, heart, lung and liver of the dead group after injury was lower than that of the control group, and the contents of Cu in brain and liver tissue decreased significantly. ② Serum Cu / Zn-SOD activity in severely injured group showed a trend of increasing at 12h and 12h after injury, and the activity of Cu / Zn-SOD in liver tissue continuously and significantly increased after injury. ③ The CCO activity in cerebral cortex, heart and liver of rabbits (including dead rabbits) did not change significantly after severely injured, but the activity of CCO in brain stem increased significantly. Gross and histological changes in brain, heart, lung, liver and other organs in the post-traumatic group were observed. Conclusion Severe trauma can induce Cu levels and Cu / Zn-SOD and CCO activities in serum and tissue of rabbits, which may be related to secondary multiple organ failure and death.
