上海医科大学儿科医院建立于1952年5月,是由中山医院儿科、中国红十字会第一医院儿科、西门妇孺医院分院合并组成,以西门妇孺医院分院旧址为院址,院长陈翠贞。建院之初,仅有床位80张,经两年多的修建扩充,病床陆续增至120张。后经上级批准,在枫林桥现址新建200张床位的儿科医院一所,1954年7月完工。
The Shanghai Children’s Hospital of Shanghai Medical University was established in May 1952. It is composed of the Pediatric Department of Zhongshan Hospital, the Pediatrics Department of the First Hospital of the Chinese Red Cross Society, and the Branch of the Ximen Women and Children Hospital. The former site of the Branch of the Ximen Women and Children Hospital is the site of the hospital, and the president is Chen Cuizhen. At the beginning of the establishment of the hospital, there were only 80 beds. After more than two years of construction, the number of beds increased to 120. After the approval of the superior, a 200-bed pediatric hospital was established at Fenglinqiao’s current site and completed in July 1954.
