Allen-Sherman-Hoff of the United States says that the life of a rubber liner is about twice to twice that of a metal liner. The company and several companies in Latin America confirmed that there was no significant change in grinding capacity and power consumption using this liner. The total cost is reduced, the grinding noise is greatly reduced. This type of liner (and hence the “Skead liner”) was installed in Kiruna’s 19-foot-diameter mill in the Skega plant, Less time required 1/2, 85% lighter than the metal liner.
