周汉青,46岁,从部队转业到地方不到10年,担任过三个厂的正副厂长。作为厂长,他和那些善于开拓奋进的经营者一样,抓企业经济效益,抓产品开发。如果说,有什么特色的话,那就是他特别重视做人的思想工作。1979年,他从部队转业参加硅酸盐厂的筹建工作。硅酸盐厂的职工,主要来自两方面,一是随征用土地入厂的农民,二是从社会上招来的回乡知青。他们都想学技术。周汉青同其他领导商量后,决定每星期有一天学技术、学政治,同时,又选派60多人到无锡、常州去“留学”。这样,当然是皆人欢喜。
