中国农科院郑州果树所前所长、研究员、国家权威梨育种专家王宇霖先生于2014年在老红皮梨基础上成功实生杂交选育出最新梨品种“蜜梨香”和“白玉蜜”。“蜜梨香”“白玉蜜”果型端正,果皮洁净,间或阳面被有淡红色晕,外表美观。果心小肉质酥脆,汁特多。在郑州,两品种果实成熟期都为9月上旬。“蜜梨香”固形物含量一般为19.5%,风味浓甜且有浓烈梨香。“白玉蜜”固形物含量一般为17.5%,口感近似甘蔗汁液甜味且果实汁液丰富。“蜜梨香”果个均重350克左右,“白玉蜜”果个均重300克左右。两品种在一般低温下可贮藏至次年5月,
