所谓“组成代谢”是指促进同化过程和促进随食物进入人体的有机组分合成的现象。但是目前“组成代谢”这一术语仅用于蛋白质组成代谢方面。蛋白质组成代谢是很重要的过程,它对于人体(不仅是初期发育阶段或是整个生命过程),对于修补破坏的细胞成分以及用类似的可塑性物质代替破坏的细胞成分都是必要的。各种激素所控制的酶系均参加代谢过程;垂体生长激素和雄性激素及腎上腺皮质激素均可刺激蛋白质代谢;皮质甾醇类是这些激素的对抗物,它显示出异化作用,促进糖元合成,亦即促进氨基酸变成葡萄糖。因此,组成代谢过程亦可称为抗异化过程。
